CPDG ear acupuncture needles

The sizes of needles you choose can be used to great effect when treating clients.

The diameters vary, but generally, 0.20 mm are good for the young, frail, and elderly, while 0.22 to 0.25 mm are good for general use.

The handles are made from either Aluminium, Copper which are good for when you’re using electro acupuncture, or plastic, which are ideal if you are working in an open or group setting.

1/4 Cun

7 mm in length
1/4 cun (7 mm) needles are short, they're ideal for certian point like the spine, however if you have large fingers or the clients’ ear is small, access to using some points may be difficult.

1/2 Cun

13 mm in length
1/2 cun (13 mm) needles are an ideal length to use for general use, they're not too long, or too heavy.

1 Cun

25 mm in length
1-cun (25 mm) needles are useful if you are using a tread needle technique along a larger area of the ear.
