Confidentiality

Maintaining confidentiality and treating patients with respect, is of the utmost importance in your clinical setting.

In order to maintain patient privacy, it is crucial for you to take necessary steps to keep personal and medical information confidential, and not to disclose any information to unauthorised parties without the patient’s prior consent.

Respect

Patients should be treated with dignity and respect at all times. This includes providing them with adequate time to ask questions, to express their concerns, and to participate in any decision-making process that may impact their care.

The use of non-judgmental language and behaviors, active listening, and empathy can all help create a safe and supportive atmosphere for patients.

Confidentilaity

Ensure that your patients personal information and medical history details aren't disclosed to anyone not directly involved in their care, unless you have written permission to do so.

Respect

Respect should be shown through words, actions, and body language to convey warmth and acceptance. Actively listening, being non-judgmental, and providing honest feedback demonstrates respect.
